Brew Better Coffee

Great coffee starts with great beans, but technique matters. Here are our recommendations for getting the most from your Strata coffee.

General Principles

Use Fresh, Filtered Water

Water temperature should be 200-205°F (93-96°C). If you don't have a thermometer, let boiling water rest for 30 seconds.

Grind Immediately Before Brewing

Coffee begins to stale within minutes of grinding. For the best results, grind only what you need.

Use a Scale and Timer

Consistency is key. Measuring by weight ensures the same delicious results every time.

Start with 1:16 Ratio

That's 1 gram of coffee per 16 grams of water. Adjust to taste—stronger coffee uses more grounds, lighter uses less.
